September 2020

What a busy start to term we have had!

Year 3 have been working really hard in English, writing their own version of the Neil Gaiman story ‘The Wolves in the Walls.’ The children love the suspense and ‘cliff hanger’ style of the story.

We are working hard on punctuating our writing correctly and choosing spooky words!

One of our highlights of our topic work has been making cave paintings in the style of Stone Age people, check out our pictures!

In Science we went on a rock hunt around our playground, and found lots of different natural and man made rocks. We are really enjoying this science unit, and have been making links to the Stone Age topic.

April 2020

Scratch is a program which helps children understand how to write and execute algorithms to achieve a specific objective such as creating a game.  As part of the National Curriculum, as children progress through school, they will build upon their programming skills with the aim of being able to write, create and debug games by the time they reach Year 6. Scratch can be used at home via the Scratch website here or by downloading the Scratch offline Editor. Wanting to create your own game but not sure where to start? Click on the images below to watch a few videos which will teach you how to create a game.
