Our Class Prayer

Dear God,

Fill our hearts with joy, fill our minds with learning

Fill our classroom with peace, fill our lessons with fun

Fill our friendships with kindness, fill our school with love

September 2020

n Maths we have been looking at different ways in which we can partition numbers into different ways to make the same total.

We have also been working really hard on our mental maths and love to beat our last scores.

For our topic, we are going back in time and finding out about our memories and the memories of our loved ones. We then travelled further back in time to the time of the Victorians and used step by step drawing techniques to create our own pictures of Queen Victoria and found out some facts about her.

Year 2 are doing so well with their Reading homework and are reading lots each week. Here are our Reading Raffle winners for the first two weeks of terms.

April 2020

Scratch is a program which helps children understand how to write and execute algorithms to achieve a specific objective such as creating a game.  As part of the National Curriculum, as children progress through school, they will build upon their programming skills with the aim of being able to write, create and debug games by the time they reach Year 6. Scratch can be used at home via the Scratch website here or by downloading the Scratch offline Editor. Wanting to create your own game but not sure where to start? Click on the images below to watch a few videos which will teach you how to create a game.

Computer Programming - Tuesday 4th July 2017

We used the Learnpads to access Logo where we had to get our submarine to the starfish. We managed to work through stage 1 and 2 giving a set of instructions and we then tried them out if they were not working we removed the wrong icon and tried again. We had lots of fun!

Under The Sea Art work - Monday 19th June 2017

As part of our 'Under The Sea' topic,' we have been creating our own pieces of art work. We used paper and card to create our own oceans as well as using weaving. Here are just some of the fantastic pieces of art we have produced.

Story Writing - June 2017

In English, we have planned and written our own animal stories. We used lots of adjectives in our writing as well as speech! Here are just some of the brilliant stories that were written in class.
